Can anyone recommend some decent headphone stores at Osaka Japan, where you can demo equipments?  Anything around Nipponbashi/Den Den Town?

Yodobashi Camera and Bic Camera are excellent for trying out headphones. The Yodobashi Camera in Kyoto also has a section for properly amplified headphones as well...

Hi, visited the store and found it quite impressive.
 
Main attrection are several STAX models, but also a solid collection of AKG, Ultrasone, Beyerdynamic, Sennheiser and Denon:

Half a year later, the AKG, Denon and ATH catalogs still have not been updated. I have the exact same ones.
 
Did you get to try out any flagship models? The Yodobashi Camera at Kyoto Station has Denon D7000, ATH-W5000, HD800, Beyerdynamic T1 and a Stax (forgot the model) that are properly amplified.

Unfortunately, no, I didn't get to try them out.  I wasn't really looking into buying a fullsize at the time with my limited luggage space, and some of those demo units might've been behind glasses too.  Regretting now...

Just in case anyone's still here, there's a monster of a hi-hi home audio store in Osaka with 2 floors, also with locations in Tokyo. Perhaps they opened just after the recent activity on this thread. More on this link:

Thanks for the tip! It’s still there, nice selection (though both Yodobashi and Bic Camera rival it due to their sheer size). Audition table is way easier to access though. Got used headphones too (some interesting old high end Ultrasone when I was there).
