What was the margin of error for the sample? :p

Very small, actually. Every time I saw somebody wearing headphones, I whipped out my iPod and recorded the headphone on the note app. I may have missed one or two during conversations, but they were probably Beats. They're so common that they don't really catch my eye anymore...

I saw a surprisingly low amount of beats these past few days. Of course there were a few but surprisingly not many people using anything at all.
Saw a couple sennheisers, skullcandy, beats, ibuds.

Funny thing I saw the other day, I picked up the new deluxe edition of the new Testament album and I was watching the bonus DVD of the recording of the album and lo and behold there were a couple sets of beats being used for tracking. Thought it was pretty funny myself.

Oh dear...
More mass advertising of "celebrity endorsed" headphones.

“I think they are wearing headphones because it sounds good and would put them in that zone,” Lee said. “They are getting their game face on through music.”

“It’s a really good thing, especially when they haven’t been paid” to wear them, said John Patroulis, chief creative for the New York office of Bartle Bogle Hegarty, the ad agency, adding that he did not think it mattered that Beats sent free headphones to athletes.

“They don’t have to wear them,” he said. “I think these guys get a lot of things. I think they are just showing that they think they are great.”

Saw a guy sporting the HD598 on bus 217 in Montreal.
Was pleasantly surprised.

It was being run by an ipod unfortunately.

At Otakuthon I saw a pair of Ultrasone HFI 2400 (which I got to try), lots of shures (940, 840, etc), beats (at least 10 pairs), a few senns, some sony ones and a few others I probably forgot by now.

Sunday I'll make sure to sport my HD800.

The 598 can be run pretty well from an iPod... no unfortunately about that pairing.

I finally saw a set of V-Modas at an art festival. They look better in real life.

Also saw a bunch of PortaPros.

No Beats. Crazy, huh.

Very crazy. Saw a guy with Sennheiser HD449's at Starbucks the other day. Just made me want a pair of HD800's for some reason.
