I saw a girl yesterday wearing some beats, in line to get some pizza.  She was wearing a basketball warm up outfit for one of the local colleges here. People never wear full size headphones out around here.

Yeah, they are EXTREMELY popular amongst basketball players. I'm talking like half the team usually has them.

I don't think it's fair to mention Beats in this thread/not true audiophilia product.

Alls I know, is one of those two(Kobe or LeBron) is wearing them on top of their head.....and backwards, making them look even stupider. I just don't know which way the beats cord is oriented.

Kobe is making fun of Lebron on that picture. He wouldn't have the cord in his face and be smiling like that if he wasn't.

...Read the title. All headphones in the Beats series are exactly that - headphones.

You're more generous than I am.

Back on topic, guy next to me on the blue line this morning looked to have Senn IE8's... if you're on Headfi - hallo - I was the dude next to you in the Fostex T50RPs

:D

They isolate better than my 225i's or K702s... and as much as I like the EW9's they don't have the punch I wanted for the jazz I was listening to :D

Unless you want to buy me the Beyer 1350s... then I'll happily leave the Fostex at the studio.

I'm sorry but when I see them they just make me sad, when I see REAL head-fi equipment it makes me happy inside and never fails to put a smile on my face.

at my friend's house, has a pair of skullcandy hesh's.....and his girl has some sony precision headphones but I haven't seen those yet. Oh god. Testing them out right now and god they're terrible. It's been awhile since I've listened to some legit bad headphones so I wasn't sure what I was hearing, thought something was broken

I got my girlfriend some ATH-M50's for Christmas and she LOVES them. She scolded me though...gave them to her before finals and instead of studying, she went through her music library.

I also got my brother a pair of SkullCandy Aviators...I think it's a decent compromise between a popular brand and SQ. To be honest, I think they're great - super comfy and stylish, nice forward sound sig.

A friend of mine was on a bus at UIUC and he was wearing HTF-600s...dude asked him if he "saw that thread on Head-Fi." Hehe. Haven't encountered anyone myself, yet, though I did used to see a kid walking around campus with DT770s (seems super dangerous to me with so many bikes flying around), and a kid at the library with ATH-M50s.

The Aviators are actually good phones. Never heard any legit head-fi hate on them.
