seriously, if you have the lotr dvds, check out the 2nd disc, the music featurette. the composer of the score is wearing sony 7506 monitors when he's conducting the orchestra. in the next scene he's wearing sony cd1700 cans while conducting the boys chorus! hmmm, switching headphones for different kinds of music... must be a headphone nut.

the director peter jackson was wearing sony v300 i think. oh well, they're small and convenient, gets the job done.

you reach a new level of geekdom when you can spot and name headphones you see in movies and tv. flipping through the channels i saw a kid wearing the aluminum grados on some teenybopper show. he was tossing them around and generally treating them like crap. if only he knew...
