Well, I picked up a new MD unit, a MZR500PC at walmart for $100.00.

Good price.

The shock....the HEADPHONES!

They actually sound halfway decent? Usually the headphones you get with stuff you just throw away.

Got good phones with the JVC MD XMP55 too.

Another shock....they came with a SONY product!

I know those headphones, fredpb. They are the stock MDR-026's. Newer MDs get MDR-027's, which may or may not perform similarly.
