Hi Everyone,

New member here, but a very long time follower/roamer of the forum and its reviews. I wanted to ask what the difference is between the different impedance levels of these headphones with my setup? Or is it worth saving the extra cash and going for my suggestions towards the end:

Beyerdynamic DT770 Pro 16 Ohm
Beyerdynamic DT770 Pro 32 Ohm
Beyerdynamic DT770 Pro 80 Ohm
Beyerdynamic DT770 Pro 250 Ohm

I've owned the

Audio Technica ATH AD-700 (2006 to 2011) - My first love.
Audio Technica ATH AD-900 (2011 to 2013)

And currently I own the AD900X with my SoundBlaster Z (Soundcard).

Yes. All Audio-Technica. I use my headphones predominantly for watching films/series and casually playing games (on the computer). Most of the time I am using my speaker setup though.

I wanted something different, a different taste, with more emphasized & tighter bass in comparison to the Open-Back Audio Technica's I've owned. I'm looking at a few options, but I keep getting back to the Beyerdynamic DT770 Pro and specifically the 80 Ohm version with my sound-card.

I wanted to ask what are the differences between them? Is it worth saving up and upgrading to get the Sennheiser HD 598? Is my Soundblaster Z strong enough to drive it? And if yes, is it worth saving even more and going for the Sennheiser HD 600 (which has always been a dream of mine to own). But there is no way I can afford an AMP/DAC setup, it has to be with my SoundBlaster Z (which can drive 600 Ohm headphones according to the manual/site, but I cannot trust the packaging and must ask here).
