headphone recable polarity?

I've recabled headphones several times before, but for some reason I just can't remember today which is positive and which is negative.

So, on the headphone the red dot signifies positive or negative?

Usually, red it's positive. It is on BeyerDynamics DT770's and Koss KSC35/75

I don't know if this is always true but usually black is negative and anything else is positive.

Thanks, I remembered after I posted and just finished the recable

I was recabling some ksc75's I don't have enough time to Kramer mod them before I head to work, but I'll Kramer mod them later this week
