Hi,
I'm thinking of buying a headphone/preamp to act as an intermediary between my computer soundcard and my powered monitors. I'm wondering if this will actually improve the sound quality. For example: SB x-fi 1/8" out to WA3 to the monitors. I assume the DAC on the SB is good enough for the job. The WA3 looks good to me since it has both the preamp out and obviously the headphone out, and I've been reading about its great sound quality. I'm thinking that its warm tube sound will nicely complement the very neutral sound of the monitors. Has anyone tried this, and can anyone offer any advice or suggestions?
Thanks!
