The right side keeps cutting in-out on my Grado SR60's and if I jiggle the wire it comes back in. Clearly there is something amiss going on. I'm not quite sure how to disassemble the headphones. I'm confident enough in my abilities with a soldering iron as this will probably be a very easy fix. Can anyone steer me in the right direction? How do I take 'em apart?

It's probably a kink with the cable. see if you can isolate it by wiggling in different places. Probably near the Y joint.

To open the cups though you need to heat them with a heat gun. Possibly a blow drier. Just heat around the outside of the cups being careful not to blow anywhere else. The glue loses up and you can twist and pull them apart.

The problem is definitely with the cable now that I feel around with them. They are super tight where they are most likely kinked. Is there any way to straighten them out again?

You'll have to cut open the outer casing and take a look. Maybe cut out the bad part and re solder it. Talk to grado, or just make a new cable. Grado's are very easy to put in new cables, so you're in pretty good shape yet.

FYI - If you do open them up, use a blow drier and not a heat gun. Blow drier + patience = unmelted cups
