Hi I just got myself a Goldring DR150 and being a total amateur at these things I was wondering which would be a better place to connect the headphone to my PC: the headphone jack or the line-out at the back of the PC?

Also on a side note I hear people talking about burning in the headphones when they are new. Does that mean using it continuously for a few days?

Plug the headphones into the headphone out. If you had an amp you would plug THAT into the line out.

Many here recommend playing music continuously (at your normal listening volume) through your headphones for a few days or at least overnight to burn them in.

Happy listening!

Yes.
The line-out bypass the sound card internal headphone amp. So it's recommended to plug an external amp to the line-out. You can plug the headphone to if you want to, but it'll have less power than the headphone out ...

Thanks for the advice. Greatly appreciated! The new headphones definitely sound better than the old ones I had, and the design is really comfortable. Will plug the amp into the line out once it arrives.
