Okay, I need you guys' help here gonna get headphones.
Here's what I have, remember I DO NOT have an AMP and do not want to buy one. I want a good all-around headphone, not with too much bass. COMFORT is a MUST! Thanks for you opinions!

You can rule out the HFI-780, AH-D1100, M-80, and possibly the ATH-M50 based on your preference in regard to bass, you can rule out the M-80, ATH-M50, and HFI-780 based on comfort, and if you want something portable you can rule out everything else on the list because it's open.

If you don't need a portable, closed headphones, I think the best bet for your preferences and limitations is the DT990.

Op, why you don't list the musical genres you like?

Btw, the 558's will do fine unamped. (50 ohm impedance)

HFI-780's.

Out of your choices, I'd also go for the Sennheiser for comfort and ability to jive with much variation in genre. Since you're using them at home, the openness shouldn't be a problem.

Heya,

Hifiman HE-300 revision 2 (new) would be a good option for you.

Very best,

Actually, having just heard the HE-300 for the first time last Saturday, I would have to echo MalVeauX here. I can see why HiFiMan has so many dedicated fans.
