Are there any padded headphone bags that are similiar to the Headroom Headcase bag but won't burn a hole in my wallet like that one does? I saw some aviation bags, but they all look really bulky and kinda squarish.

I tried a search, but most the bags that came up people are talking about fitting Grados (thus way too small). I need something that will house an HD595. Thanks ahead.

I use a Nike drawstring bag with a fluffy towel around them when I don't want to carry around the padded boxes. Works for me

.

Prelude Audio carries these, but they are a bit ugly imo.

Yep. I travel quite frequently (med school <--> home) so I need something that will protect it.

I mean, if the Headcase is worth it, then I guess I'll go that route. I was just wondering if there is anything similiar to it, as its pretty expensive for just a bag. Just want it protected and not rolling around in my backpack.

Jlai,

I seriously doubt you'll regret the purchase. The Headcase is very (VERY!) well built, and has all the attachments one needs for portable listening. Plus, it's big enough to fit my AKG K601's, so it'll hold your HD580's no problem.

I was like you in that the Headcase seemed to be a tad expensive, but now that I have mine, I'm glad I spent the money. Enjoy.
