A friend of mine wants to get a good pair of headphones and an amp just like I did a few weeks ago. He went to try some phones out and he said that he likes Beyerdynamic DT 990 ('05), AKG K701 and he would also consider a Sennheiser HD 650.
However he doesn't know which amp to get and I proposed getting a Cantate, order the Beyers and the Senns and then we could to a little of a testing with my Darkvoice 332 and K701. Then he could decide what headphone/amp combination fits his needs the most and return everything else.
What do you think about that?
Has any of this headphones bad synergy with either of the amps so that the comparison would be pointless?
