Hi all, I'm new!
I would like to have a consultancy.
I have to buy a pair of headphone for monitoring from my soundcard, the output is a line level so I think I need an headphone amp. Budget: 200$ or something more. I don't need a strong noise isolation. What's the best choice (headphone + amp)?
I read a lot but I'm still confused...
Thanks, Dello

ohh some fancy sound card that... right i know this probably will reduce quality but there should be connectors that takes lineout into 3.5mm jacks

and you can adjust for Flat EQ all round in every software.

humm you might be looking at flat response headphones? hummm..
this should help you:

I can't connect a pair of headphone directly to a line level (impedance matching problem, etc..).

I simply can't do that via software EQ

. Software EQ is where I can work to make music like I want it to be, listening from headphones. So I need to know that headphones almost have flat frequency response.

I need an amp not for quality but for functionality purposes.

headphones dont usually have a flat frequency response, but i was surprised to see the Denon D2000 to almost have an +-5 db response.
