I *was* going to be cremated and flushed . . . .

But maybe instead I ought to bequeath a few dollars to pay for a headstone covered with solar cells hooked up to an RA1 fitted with rechargeable batteries that drive a pair of HP1s fitted carefully into place with a spot or two of one of those ingenuous pastes morticians use to tuck the dead into place prior to viewing.

Source?

60 gig Creative set to shuffle and continuous loop play?

Man, YOU'LL be dead. But that shouldn't stop you from giving the gift of Headfi to those you leave behind! Mount the 'phones on the tombstone and put your favorite tracks on loop...so that all who come to pay respects can enjoy your little refuge!

Okay, okay ... better still ... I like that.

Now the only thing is how to keep the weather off them (even though I live in NYC I'm from LA and would prefer to be buried there, so it's not altogether hopeless

Just do as you first laid out (heh) with the solar cells, etc, and then make sure your headstone has a headphone jack...let them hear what you're listening to! They can bring their own darn phones!

...in the middle of the night, at your headphone-equipped headstone:

step...step...step...rustle...SNIP!...step...step. ..step...."bwhahahahahahah....well, I'll have to go to ratshack tomorrow for a new plug"...step...step...step..
