I avoid downloading apps to my devices because of the permissions granted (no one reads the fine print before clicking “accept”).

Did you follow the recent articles about inadvertently granting access to your camera and microphone?

It’s getting harder all the time to glean good information without sacrificing my privacy, and being bombarded with spam and ads I did not ask for.

Most sites can be safely accessed using a web browser. I want to believe that I don’t have to sacrifice as much of my privacy if I use a good browser.

I'm pretty sure the Head-Fi "app" isn't an app at all, just a shortcut/bookmark that you can add to your home screen. I've done the same thing with other websites that I don't want to have to bother opening a browser first.
