Hey, I am considering buying a highend pair of headbuds, not anything like 300 dollars, but between 50-100 dollar range. Most of you seem knowledgable on the headphones category so was wondering, whats the best too buy?

Umm.... "headbuds"??... or do you mean "earbuds"?

If you're talking about earbuds, and you don't need isolation, people here seem to like the Sennheiser MX500 a lot.

It's only about 20 bucks USD.

Angel: Headroom, Musician's Friend, and Audiocubes are online retailers to start at. Browse some more threads and you will find that online retailers are really preferred(No A/Bing, but they are always accessible. Most don't have a good B&M headphone store within a reasonable amount of miles.)

Peddler: I never could get my darned MX-500's to stay in my ear no matter what I tried (short of superglue). I agree that the 888's were better at staying in your ear.

I tend to use the Ety's outside (got used to the strange effect that footsteps give).. but you have aroused my curiosity.. are the Koss KSC-35's much like the sporta-pro's soundwise and where can you get them in the U.K.?

Also why the heck have you got two pairs?

Hmmm ... well I will be trying too find those Nudes by sony, and also the other reason I am returing the MX400s is becuase they drive me insane! They never stay in my ear for more then 5 minutes.

ex70 can be found on ebay and yahoo.com shopping....

i love mine...

or you could get the sony V6 which sounds better, but is $70 and is a bit bigger..

or you could get aiwa hp-v600

i dont recommend open buds if you are on the go... the ex70s isolate really well. they are super comfy too... well on me atleast...

good luck

well do you want isolation?? open buds are ear buds like the senn mx400/500 dont block out any of the outside noise..

the ex70 is closed so it blocks out a lot of noise.. do you need that?
