Hello,
I ordered a Headamp GS-1 on May 17th and still have not received it yet.
I am beginning to get alittle worried.

I received an email June 7th saying it should be ready in 10 days.
I received an email Friday saying it would be finished up after the weekend, then I received one Tuesday saying it would be finished up yesterday.
I sent a couple more emails yesterday and today, but so far I have not heard anything yesterday or today.
Is it normal to have to wait this long on HeadAmp products???
Thanks.

There is nothing to worry about. Justin is a very busy guy and does his best to finish amps as fast as he can. He might not have some parts or just way too many orders so it takes a bit longer. He has an excellent reputation so just be patient.

Patience! I know it is hard (it was for me) but you will grin like a cheshire cat when you unpack and start listening to your GS-1. and more importantly, like I am right now, you will very likely be grinning months and years later. And resisting the temptation to buy a GS-X and MOSFET modules for the trusty GS-1.

Justin's products have the character of being built by an obsessive perfectionist and we are all lucky to have such manufacturers around Head-Fi in a market for electronics that is dominated by massive consumer product contract-manufacturing marketers - end of rant -

Best of listening,

TH

He's sourcing lots of parts and getting the finishes right takes time and requires a lot of rework.

Justin won't ship it until it's done right which can take longer.

The alternative would be to accept things that are good enough- which isn't Justins style.

i wouldn't worry. the wait for headamp products is usually (much) longer than the estimate but it will in time arrive and you will be very happy. justin's amps are very well built and sound great.

patience

also emailing him multiple times distracts him from finishing your amp faster...

I wouldn't worry -- you will receive your amp. I ordered my GS-1 the first week of April and received it about 2 weeks ago (first week of June). I reluctantly emailed Justin toward the end of May to inquire about the status of the amp, and he pointed out that some parts that had been on order had just recently arrived. As many here have pointed out, Justin is committed to producing a very high quality product and the wait is well worth it. I have been extraordinarily impressed with the GS-1 (in combination with a DAC1-USB and K701s) and I'm sure you won't be disappointed.

I would not worry!
There are people out there who waited more than one (1) year for their HeadAmp amplifier.

Just received Fed-ex shipment notification. My HeadAmp GS-1 is on its way and should be at my door Wednesday.

Will post impressions of it after I receive it.
Thanks for your replies...guess I just got a little too impatient!
Can't wait to get it and try it out!
Hope Justin will forgive me for all my emails and impatience.
Thanks Justin!

I've just recieved my GS-1 after 9 weeks from the day of ordering but after 10 minutes of listening to my favourite songs the wait was so worth it and I have never been so happy with an audio purchase ever. My HD650s are shinning now with the iMod.
