best deal right now is the Sennheiser HD700 for $849. There will be some sales on HD600, HD650, HD800 and Momentum on Black Friday. Note that these are factory authorized sale prices. That means they'll still honor the warranty if you ever need to use it.

looks like i had it wrong and the HD700 is actually $649!

Wow, that is a great price! I'm listening to them right now and not sure they're for me but they are amazing headphones. Clear, clean, and tons of detail not to mention very very comfortable once the clamp wears off/you get used to it. Better Bass than I thought they would have and mids are outstanding! $999 not so sure but for $649 they are very impressive and worth a serious look.

Using them with my SR-71a and just like the HD650's they have great synergy. Can get a little bright at times but that problem is solved by turning the volume down  Overall I'm kinda shocked and impressed. I didn't think I'd like these this much!

Definitely worth some serious consideration

Thanks,

Man, he500 for 300 would be devastating. Anyone thinking that was going to happen is a little to hopeful. They'd be sold out so quick. Even at 500. I have no extra money for hps but If I saw an he500 brand new for 500, id be a happy, slightly broke person.
