Good news...the custom packaging I was waiting for has shipped or will ship Monday, so i'll have it next week (i think its for both the BHSE and GS-X mk2)

My comment was meant to be a complement. That was the most comprehensive list of tubes reviewed so far on this thread, apart from maybe Elphas right at the beginning. Keep it up.
All my positive comments about the PHs have been using BHSE/007 mk1, so I for one don't think that particular combination is an issue.
TYVM, Attorney & CG! Any opinion on how the Tesla NOS EL34 "Cross Swords" could behave with the BHSE (see posts 715 and 717 in thread Question about amps for the Stax SR-009 - Page 48)

To my untrained eye, the Teslas in that link don't look like the "crossed sword" (military) versions, but a quick search does show the latter are around. A quad recently were on ebay for £175, which is hardly giving it away, but still less than the PHs, and a lot less than matched NOS XF2s.
As per my earlier post, I'm done with BHSE tube rolling for as long as the PHs last out. However, I'll await with interest Phil's forthcoming review - but I guess that can't happen until he gets his BHSE

yes, your box was too damaged to use again and i'm all out of the old packaging. the new packaging should also be much better and its 30% smaller
This week, finishing up the BHSE PSUs - adding the front panels and electrical testing before attaching to the amplifiers
