It's the start of a new week...I wonder if Justin has any WIP pictures of the BHSEs that are building...it'll be cool to see a picture like the one he posted of the GS-1s the other time.

Meanwhile, just waiting for my turn...

1 day of assembly (today), 1 day of testing, 1 day of screw tightening/packing is left

Superb!i'll be sure to drop you an email to settle my full payment for mine when you ship those out so I can finally await my unit to be started on...i suppose the end of this week will be alright for me to do so?

Please be sure to take a quick snap of those units already done up if you can! Will really be drool worthy to see so many bhses in one place!

Sure, It is good to hear that there has been some progress in producing these units.  However, these kinds of "sightings" have been reported before so it is hard to become overly excited.  It is sort of like hearing about the Ivory-Billed Woodpecker being being spotted and then expecting to see it offered in a pet store.

the ones i was working on have been finished and are currently making my apartment very hot.  i try to go through about 50 warm up / cool down cycles as part of testing.  for your amp, this brings you to #4 on the list

Good to hear.  Anytime you are nearing completion, drop me an email detailing how much I owe you for completion.  I know that, after making the initial payment,  I requested the RK 50 potentiometer upgrade for my unit.

Wow, I did not expect that testing involved 50 power up and down cycles per unit; that is a lot of time/labor.

I suppose I could wait and see, but, perhaps you can provide a quick answer to my question.  The Stax tube interface/amp for my Omega II seem to be quite insensitive and require a lot of drive from the linestage to reach respectable volume.  Is the BHSE more sensitive than the Stax unit?  I ask because I am using a quite low output moving coil cartridge that is somewhat marginal with my phonostage and linestage driving the Stax (but not my speaker setup).

the gain is not any higher than the Stax amp.  it could be.
