Sorry!! I would like to buy a pair of headphones up to about 800 € (1000 $), which will connect them to my integrated amplifier (Mcintosh MA 7900). The length of the cable should be 3 , 5 m. Could you help me in my choice? My living room is quiet.Semi open or closed back? Advantages? Disadvantages? Thank you very much ..

Going to need a bit more information from you as in what sound signature do you prefer as in bright, warm neutral, bass heavy or bass light? Love your country as I just got back from 5 days in Athens a day in Meteora and 4 days in Santorini.

What I want is a warm sound without tiring me. I would like to listen to several hours, not just music, but also films without disturbing my family. Did you like my country? Near the meteor is the city I live, Larissa ..

Yes I loved your country and everyone we met were so welcoming and friendly. I believe your amp will run most any headphone so your good there. You might want to check out the ZMF Atticus it is close to your price range and is on a tad warm but not too much and very comfortable. Is your budget before Vat and import taxes or are looking to find something locally?

buke9 good morning. I'm sorry I missed answering your message, but it was late in the evening in my country. I give you a few links to the headphones that interest me. I would like your opinion. Do you think the MC 7900 headphones circuit will play properly?

...I would also not have a problem buying a used model from here, but unfortunately the price at the customs will rise 35% up due to import from a non-EU country. Unfortunately, the latest technology today is magnetostatic or electrostatic?

    Τhank you again.

I have heard all you listed but the T5P. The LCD’s and the Elear are the only ones I would call a bit warm. I own the HD-800 and K872’s the 800’s are far from warm and well into bright the reason I like them from a warm amp our tubes. The 872’s are not as bright but not what I would call warm closer to neutral they are supremely comfortable though with great detail and soundstage for a closed back can.

A very fine headphone that has came way down in price. It is more towards neutral but not too bright. I have the HE-400,400S and 500’s so I do like the HiFiMan products they all are quite different though. I’m not for sure why as I didn’t have a lot of time with the open but I like the Aeon Flow Closed better than the open. They are not quite Ether-C’s but really a good headphone for the money if you can get over the shape but they are comfortable also. I think you amp should run all fine but don’t know if it leans bright neutral or warm as I haven’t heard any MacIntosh amps headphone outputs. I have heard a few 2 channel setups with them and they are very nice.

I think I can buy them at this price ($ 349 + $ 60 for Europe). Worth this money? Would you suggest me buy them to listen to music and watch movies? Finally, do you know if someone can listen for many hours without getting tired?
  14. buke9
I don’t listen to movies on headphones so can’t say. Are you asking about getting tired from the highs or just wearing them?
  15. varadero xl1000v
..both of them. More than their sound, that is, the high frequencies can make my ears hurt?
