The paltry range of smilies availible by default is simply not enough to express our varying emotions... just look at the considerably greater selections offered by DIYAudio.com or even the BFNation.net forums - not to mention the fact that a lot of people are using smileys from other sites via the tag.

I wouldn't mind some more, just don't change the ones we've got now.

We need more people who speak in complete sentences!

What I meant by that was, I have noticed a general trend (myself included) of people to use incomplete sentences when communicating on the internet, via boards, via email, etc. I find this result worse on boards that have more smileys.

Nothing personally directed at you, Mr.PD.

ZOOOMMMMMM
I posted an incomplete sentence, you didn't say anything about that. I did not take anything personally, I was trying to be funny.

Now that you brought up the use of smileys and incomplete sentence connection, I will pay more attention to that. I really hadn't noticed this phenomenon.

I am the king of reverse smileys. :)

(No really, why are we so biased against smileys turned the other way? Poor reverse-smileys, they deserve attention too. I want to let all reverse smileys know that just because they're turned the other way doesn't make them any more or less important than the so-called "proper" smileys. I say end the discrimination. Join team reverse smiley.)

:) :) :) :) :)

I actually do use reverse smileys, especially in MSN. God I hate those damn emoticons, especially the one that's triggered by

[EDIT *******IT I meant : ), minus the space). Makes me want to shoot the screen every time I see that face. It was one of the main reasons for my switching.
