Just my opinion but the XB 90 pails in comparison in overall sound quality. I use the 7550 out of an Opus 1 and finding it very pleasing. I am waiting on Mdr ex 1000 coming from Japan because I enjoy the 7550 so much. On a side note @Hawaiibadboy do you still find the Ex-1000 as special now that you are trying out some 64 audio products?
I don't use the tape mod and am satisfied with the bass. The XB90ex just didn't do it for me in the rest of the spectrum. It was to me congested and I find the 7550 with a little eq is really special. So subbass is also comparable with the 7550 tape mod to the xb90ex?
You are tempting me man!!
7550 with tape mod, no question, hands down winnerSo subbass is also comparable with the 7550 tape mod to the xb90ex?
how do you bump a thread?
https://www.musicandmorestore.de/in...stealth.html?listtype=search&searchparam=auri maybe here..Recently bought Rose Cappuccino MKII 2
and I found myself hearing some birds, that actually were just part of the song and not for real.
+Really impressive spatial sound
+Fkng hard hitting bass
– not enough "ground-shaking" bass
My personal favorite here is still RHA T10, you feel just earthquakes in your head.
I also tried Shure SE846, and can't tell you anything about them, I just have ZERO emotions about them, sent it back after 1 week.
Still looking for the best once, and wish I could buy Auristics 2.5/Kicker somewhere... bc Sony MDR EX800ST/ 7550 is so ugly...
Here again is someone mentioning the balanced cable, did you get one with the Masters because I sure didn't? I have big lugs and I find most of the Trinity IEM's are bass light but I recently got these enormous ear tips that seal my head off not just the IEM's and can they produce bass, oh yeah is the answer!! Tried them with some Fidue 73's bl**dy hell! My eyeballs were swivelling. And yes, I agree, the Master is a distant sound, the PM4 is good for bass but lacks a bit of detail, whereas the PM 6 is bass light but good soundstage, IMHO....I get that hall of echos feel with the phantom master as well. Are you using the balanced cable?
I like the mids. You have to really amp them for the bass. I wish they had a little more extension in the subass.
