I wish I could even get my wife to call me sweetheart!!
Just hope EricHD is a female just saying.. Hmm
Have you thought about doing this as a service for those wanting it done?
Do hifiman ships the velour pads for the he-400 out of country? The dealer in Bangkok Thailand sold out.
This is on behalf of people who got their RE272 when there was 3 years warranty tag on these. Will you guys uphold 3 years warranty for them or scale it down ?
Yep; however presently I'm really bogged down by undergrad, research, and med school applications, so it's not a realistic thing I could be doing at least for now. Ideally HFM and Fang consider this and offer new and improved grills officially, but that's a bit of a stretch methinks.
How much of a discount are we talking here?
We do not sell parts that are not considered to be servicable by customers. In order to protect your headphone and your personal safty we recommand that you send it back to us for warranty service.
Thanks for your inquiry, and that's a good question.
Honestly, we never sell the refurbished separately not because we don't want make extra money, but because we wanna give every customer our best products.
We do nothing but the best service & excellent products for you all.
We gonna take your presious idea which is send the beta sets out for problems making before marketing.
So appreciate it !!!
Besides, sorry for the spelling mistake I made before. I should've said," there is no difference, but if have, you could figure it out by carefulling listening."
Sure, she will.
We certainly agree with some of you who have the same idea like this. Besides, we are still trying to change the grills to the best point just like our boss did everyday.
However, if some audiophiles make a little adjustment themself, we can no longer make the replacement as requested.
So sorry for the inconvenience.
Hopefully, you can understand our situation.
Sure, we can. Purchase one on the web head-direct.com, and we'll arrange a shipment immediately.
I was wondering when the new HM-901 was going to come out. I am on the fence on whether to buy the HM-801 or wait for 901's to come out.
Actually the Hifiman HE series grills are easily removable, so replacing them isn't doing anything permanent on the headphones; I can easily switch back the stock grills within 10 seconds and it's as good as new. So that's a non-issue.
Unless you mean us actually physically modifying the stock grills (like drilling into it or something crazy) rather than making whole new ones to replace them (which is what I'm doing), then yeah. But most people interested in this grill issue are hoping for entirely new grill mesh material.
E.g. check out the grills I made myself, which I currently have on my HE400s:
Of course I have the stock grills safely stored away.
