Having thought about it a bit more the Direct Stream my also benefit from trickle down FPGA upgrades from the new PS audio flagship dac currently in development. Paul McGowan joked it might be 20k$, so they're throwing some fresh money at R&D.

I've been planning to use my end game headphone rig as the base of my dream 2 channel system. Congrats I would say you're all succeeding at that

I'm listening to my HDV 820 and it sounds sooo good... makes me nervous about the he9 + term stack that it won't be that much better! :S
