Hey guys, so I was listening to some music, and I randomly got no sound out of the right side. I thought it was something wrong with the track because I had just downloaded it, but it happened with all tracks. So I checked my headphones and it turns out that one piece of the cable (there are two pieces for each side) had frayed off completely.

I've had these headphones for just over a year and I love them. What should I do?

I'm a really poor university grad student, and I can't afford a nice cable or anything. Are there any cheap cables I should look at?

Would Hifiman replace the cable? (It's the silver one)

Sounds like a great opportunity to learn some cabling skills.  Find someone at your school preferably a teacher or professor and kindly ask them if they could show you how to repair the cable.  You may end up learning a new skill that will forever be an aid to the ailing headphone.
