Hey all,

I am in the market for a pair of headphones ~1300 to ~1500 USD and was wondering if I could get the lowdown on the pros and cons of some of the popular picks for that price range. If you were/or have purchased with that budget what would you pick you? If you have any other headphones you would suggest please let me know.

At this (price-)point it's all about personal preference, music choice, system synergy (amp, dac, ...) etc.

Hard to make a recommendation without knowing more details ... all the headphones mentioned in the thread title are solid performers with each having it's merits. I think you pretty much already picked the right brands to look into ... also look into alternative headphones of those brands. (Stax, Sennheiser, Hifiman, Audeze). Maybe a used Abyss Diana or some ZMF headphones could be an option too.

I would highly advice against buying without listening first at this price point ... unless you don't mind the cash of just buying all of them of course ...
