Hi ya'll I was wondering what headphone should I get? Currently using the Sundaras and I'm not fully satisfied. I was thinking of upgrading to either the HD800s or the DT 1990 Pro. What is better among the two and is the price of the HD800s worth it even tho I have the money to afford it? Just trying to make the smart decision. Mainly I listen to house, jazz, rnb, and indie. Will also be using these for gaming.

Given that the HD800S is frequently on people's top 3 headphones of all time lists, I'd say so. But everyone has their own definition of whether a particular cost is justified. For instance if you don't care about a wide and deep soundstage at all then it might not be justifiable

Make sure you have money for a decent amp & dac as well, like project horizon III or liquid platinum at the minimum
