I just sold my hd650s to bohemianism (who was a fantastic buyer btw), and he asked about something I'd been wondering about myself...the odd smell of Senns phones.
I bought the phones brand new about a year ago. The case was factory sealed and had all the proper documentation etc. When I opened them I immediately noticed an odd odor. It wasn't like anything in particular...just an odd, somewhat unpleasant smell. I figured it was just the way their phones smell (like most new plastic has a smell being petroleum based).
Thing is, the smell never went away or dissipated in any way. I finally got used to it, but it really seems to bother bohemianism, so that got me wondering if it bothers anyone else, or if there might have been something odd about that particular batch of phones.
Anyone think their 650s smell funny?
