For sure the he90's wont fit, dont know about the he60s. But in any case, I'm not sure if there is much you or I can do about it, short of wrapping plastic over the foam.

They're easily replaceable and not that expensive. It's always a trade-off, comfort doesn't go too well with durability or easiness to clean. The alternative is pleather, more durable, less comfortable. C'est la vie.

And any headphone is going to be susceptible to bacteria...imagine canalphones too!

They are washable. At least they can be handwashed in lukewarm water with a mild washing powder. Squezze out the water between rinsings.
Let them dry in air for some hours or a day

After getting some HD580's(which I haven't yet, PM me people, I NEED them

) I plan on seeing if I can use their pads on a pair of Grados, similar to Headphile Beta pads, but on a whole different level. Could be good, but I guess I have to be patient.

Order HD525/535 pads from Sennheiser. They are the same as the 650 pads, only pleather (not leather

)

In fact, the pads for the HD525/535/545/565/580/600/650 phones are all compatible with each other, the only difference is that the 525/535 pads are pleather, the others are velvet covered.

Have you done this? And what were the results?

Changing from textil pads to leather or pleather can change the sound. I had experienced that with my Beyerdynamics and I defenetly prefered the Beyers sound with the textil/fabric pads.

Some wouldn't think of using these cans while sweating. The pads are very easy to keep clean. A little Lysol spray will do. Wipe with a damp cloth. Unless you wear them while you are inclined to mud wrestle everything will be OK. Don't mean to be a wise guy. Have not had my coffee yet. Sorry.

During Mars Volta, Kid Rock, AC DC and Metalica through the HD600's I find I sweat like I've been front row at a live Concert. How's that for realistic

Yes, I cleaned my pads last week Luke Warm Water, a couple drops of dish soap and let them air dry. They came out like new. Look Good - Smell good
