HD650 for $293.82 at ecost.com. Only 5 available as of this posting. Seems like a great deal.

Thanks for the link. I picked myself up a pair with an additional 1 year extended warranty and it was still cheaper than most other places charge.

Don't worry about the "limited" quantity. ecost is notorious for playing this type of game. Wait till tomorrow or the day after, the inventory will magically go up.

Looks like that's exactly what's happening. 5 units in stock still? It's like a magic well.

Arrrgh, I paid $233 late last year for my HD600s... should have saved my money (famous last words?

Tempted but the terrible users rating was a strong deterrence. Thanks for the head-up Andrew. I think I'll stick with Todd or Tyll.

That is a great price, but some of the feedback they've received has me worried.

I got my HD600 from ecost for 250. Only 50 more, I am tempted. But I am holding out until Sennheiser comes out with next higher end model.

Sennheiser really needs to make some electrostatics around the 1k mark that don't suck ass.

How many years did Sennheiser wait between the introduction of the HD600 and the HD650? If it is longer than 5 years, I might just jump on this one...

They appear to have run out of them

I ordered them anyway

We'll see!

I am starting team tornado wallet, if anyone's interested.
I've bought 5 major pieces of gear this week. On the upside, I also ordered 20 cds.

It seems that ecost is like williamgoody: hit or miss. I think I bought something from them a few years ago, and it went well. Now I'm more cautious and would probably avoid dealing with them. The price is quite tempting though.......
