funny thing about the empty 650 boxes from J&R....

I was reading some Ebay seller feedbacks a week ago, and there were several negative feedbacks posted where buyers got an empty HD650 box.

Well, I have no use for empty boxes, even if they are headphone boxes. (although my baby son is crazy about them).
Did anyone experience that?

i bought things for sale from jr the first ones came broken. the 2nds were fine. then had problems with shipping :\ too big of a pain of a process.

If you have a Guitar Center near you they should price match any authorized online dealer price, that's what I did. My state tax + $5 for it being a special order put it near $300 anyway...just a thought.

Hmmm, I'm also tempted to pull the trigger. However, the empty boxes really have me scared. Besides, I've got virtually nothing in my bank account. :/ Have to wait for a few more months...

I decided it was best to avoid the possibility of spending $300 on an empty box, so I shelled out an extra $25 and got a pair from B&H Photo Video (a very reputable store).... to me the $25 was worth the peace of mind.

Btw, how many people did receive empty boxes (esp. HD650 boxes) from J&R?
I have purchased few items (not headphones) from J& before but never had any problem with the condition of product.

I think J&R is one of the authorized dealer of Sennheiser. How can they ship empty boxes/damaged phones??!!

yeah i got my item that i ordered. i think i just had one of those every now and then bad cases. i eventually got my things i ordered and the customer service even though a bit dumb was pretty good

I bought 2 mp3 players from J&R recently and hadn't had any problems. The stuff came really fast. I considered them "a very reputable store" as far as I'm concern.

IIRC, there was a thread somewhere on the forum about there being a number of incidents with the Senn headphones from J&R....
