Hey guys,

Found a good deal on a Presonus HP4 amp and have seen a few glowing remarks made about it on these forums. This particular person who gave it high marks said he was running it on some E5c earphones (which have a 110 impendance), and my HD595s have a 120, so I felt it would help open up the midrange, power, and soundstage that the amp is supposed to do for my HD595s.

I am on a very limited college budget and I think that this is appears to be a good value, but I can't tell

I don't really want other suggestions for other amps, because I know the rest of the competition out there. I would like to know, however, if the Headsave Classic would do any better (only a bit more money). I have heard that the innards are built better for Grado headphones, those that have lower impendence ratings than my Senns.

Thanks in advance!!!

If I had to choose between a Corda amp or a Wooaudio1 amp, which do you guys think would perform better not only for my HD595s but also for other headphones I may buy in the future (Such as the Beyer 770s or some Grados)?

Thanks!!
Andrew

I know you already stated that you dont like other recommendations, but please look into Ray Samuel's XP-7. This amp will surely tide you over until you go into those $1000+ amps. Both Grados and Senns sing with this mid-budget amp.

Well..

I really appreciate the other ideas, but the issue is that I am on a college budget and can't afford ANY more money than I plan on spending.

I am getting the oportunity to get a Wooaudio1 for 250 bucks, and the same for the HA-1 - and that is basically my price limit.

Is it possible that a source upgrade would be more beneficial (250 is a good pro-audio sound card!

) than an amp upgrade?
