Firstly, I know there are many threads on these 2 cans. In fact, I had spend hours reading most of them but I got more confused.

Anyway, I'm going to purchase my first 'audiophile-entry' headphone and I've narrowed it down to HD595 and AD900. I listen to all types of music but mostly R&B and blues, rarely rock and other head-banging stuff. After this headphone, I plan to buy iBasso D3. Here are my questions:

1. Which one is more suited for me without an amp?
2. Which one is better with an amp particularly with D3?
3. Any other things that I should know before I make my final decision?

Thank you for your reply. I'm curious as from my [limited] time here, there are headphones that will perform better with amp while there are some that won't produce much difference.

Anyway, I found a link which contains some great pictures comparing AD900 and A900. Hopefully they can help those who are thinking to get one of these.
