HD485 are now MINE!!! lol

just arrived and mmmhm new headphone smell is niiice..... lol anyways these headphones are burning in right now and i have listened to them yet. From a durabilty stand point these things are quite the tough little buggers. I'll post my impressions and comparisons to the phones i have handy right now (xd200 and panasonic inears..forgot model number). So anybody else have these things and wat do u guys think?

I picked up a pair and think they are the best I have heard in the $75 catagory. A very good set of cans for more aggressive music. Probably not death metal but classic rock and just about all other types sounds great. Forward with lots of bass but there is still a amazing amount of detail, soundstage and great tone. I think they have just as much detail as the 555's. The build quality is great, they are sturdy but light and comfortable. Needless to say I am very happy with them. I haven't completely burnt them in yet, I am probably at about 50 hours and the mids have opened up a bit and the detail in the bass has refined...hoping things stay on this track a bit further.

I also recently picked up the HD 485's. The will be going as I can box them up. Mine have over 100 hours burnin time. The bass was just too overwhelming for my taste. The mid-range seemded washed out by the excess bass.
