does the sp version have the same drivers as its big brother? i.e. i'd want to replace the cable with one i'd DIY anyway, so is there a difference between the two/

obviously, otherwise we'd all be buying the SP's! as far as i know (read here on head-fi), the SP's are darker and less resolving
