I recently tried to order a pair of HD25-1's at a reasonable price, I was told they were out of stock and offered a good deal on the newer model.. is there any negative differences? On the other hand are there any positive changes that make them worth the extra cash over the older model? From what I can tell there are only a few places in the UK selling the newer model or am I just being silly and all the other HD25-1's listed on sale are also the MK II?

The headphones are absolutey the same. The "II" has just more accessories included like the velour pads that are IMHO worth the little extra cash.

Hello-

The HD25-1 II is a value packed version of the legendary HD25.

The headphones and headband remain unchanged, and the cable will be a 1.5 m steel cable (detachable).

The plug remains a 3.5 mm stereo jack (ships with 1/4" adapter), angled for use with portable devices.

We are, however, including 1 pair of soft earpads and a carry pouch for use on the road
