I need a set of decent, cheap, closed phones for use with computer gaming and listening to music (j-pop, classical, trance, rap,rock..all kinds) and decided to narrow it down between these two. Has anyone done a comparison of the two? I saw at headroom that the HD212 Pro's are suppose to be better...but then again some people on this board said it's really bass heavy. I also read a good review on this board about the HD202 but noticed that said something about treble dropoff or something like that...does this mean it sounds muffled?

IT also seems that Beyer DT231 could also be a contender.

I think the 497s would be nicely suited to ur needs as well.....
