Is there any other hard-disk player with a digital out (coax/optical) besides the iriver ihp? It doesn't have to be portable but i want it to be a stand-alone device. The reason why is I have a dac (DA100) and i'd like to use it with my headamp.

Thanks DaNus.. That's an impressive device.. the only thing is it doesn't support flac as of yet. All of my files are in flac and i'd hate to convert them back to wav... i'll keep an eye on this one.

I looked at that one and it's missing one feature that i'm looking for which is flac support... thanks for the info.

Why not pick up a cheap laptop off ebay and get a decent soundcard for it. You can probably get a pentium 3 for ~ $100 and a souncard for less than that.

I'm already using my laptop via usb port to my dac.. plus the old laptop might not have that much storage space for lossless audio files..
