Hi,

My HD 600's have been through a lot and I have replaced the stock cord twice. Is there another option, under $50, instead of the stock cord.

Thanks,

The Oehlbach cable from Meier Audio (one of our sponsors) is $55 or $30 with the purchase of a headphone. This cable is better built than the stock cable and represents some substantial improvements in sound quality over the stock cable (and IMO is better than the Clou Blue and Clou Red).

The only difference is the build quality of the cables; the two are identical in performance and internal wiring (I've seen the innards of both). Besides, the HD650 costs $26 from Sennheiser so why not invest another $25 in the Oehlbach and get an improvement in build quality AND sound quality.
