Hi!

I have a pair of HD 598 that I use to listen to TV via stereo-out. I'd like to be able to increase the volume and was curious to see what type of amp you all would recommend. I've been doing a lot of reading and have heard that using portable amps such as Fiio A3 while plugged in/charging adds noise. My budget is about $120-$150; I'd prefer using something that I don't have to worry about dying if not charged.

Thanks for reading and for any help.

If your TV has an optical output.
Check out this $90 DAC and headphone amplifier, from Hifimediy

My TV does indeed have an optical output. Thanks for the link--I will keep an eye on them. They seem to be exactly what I need.

I appreciate the rec!
