You should be fine without an amp being that you already are aware of the amp issue. Really all it will do is speed up the purchase after you get the cans, not that you wouldnt wind up getting one anyhow hangin around this forum. Just dont be suprised by the lack of detail or sloppiness of the bass. It will all tighten up when that amp gets in the loop! You could probably get a cmoy off ebay or in the FS forum here for the $60 or maybe even slightly less.
