We can probably do the shown color of backing fabric or Black (leave a note at checkout if you have a preference).Hey Zach, with the wide range of colour varieties here I was wondering if, when selecting grille colour, it's possible to indicate the fabric backing colour in the notes? Or is the fabric paired with wood currently?
Also, in your opinion, which end of the wood hardness spectrum do you think lends itself better to the Caldera specifically? I only have experience with woods in the middle-lower end of the spectrum but I love the Red Mallee with that matte finish.
As far as wood hardness, the sound is much less affected on open back than closed, it's there but subtle, so especially in this case I would say choose with your eyes more than ears. With the closed headphones the difference is more immediately noticeable.
So if you like the Red Mallee I say go for it, the finish on the Mallee reminds me of Olive in a way, buttery feeling and very mottled.
