I have this weird problem on this computer, mainly with InCD and MemTrax, where the 'skins' they use for the windows don't fit.

with Memtrax everything is out of whack, with buttons floating outside the window and text not fitting what seems to be the designated space.

with InCD it's similar. you get the regular grey pop-up that Windows uses. and they drop a picture on that, with buttons and text, but skin is too small, again with text falling outside the skin.

wait, I'll try and add a picture..

anyone familiar with this problem? is there a cure?

stats on the comp: Dell 4100 laptop, 800mHz P3, WinME, 128 Mb RAM, Ati mobility at 1024x768.

what exactly is InCd and Memtrax? never heard of it.

InCD is a little tool for using a CD-writer

MemTrax is a tiny freeware RAM-management tool.

so, back to the problem....

no problem on all other comps I use (all WinME), except the laptop.

did you try it by uninstalling the memtrax program? just in case you are having mem problems. (is your video and bios being shadowed to memory?)

secondly, did you set up large fonts, default fonts, etc?

thirdly, did you try reinstalling the latest drivers.

exactly when did the problem start? what was the first indication? are any other problems prsent, like crashing, sound glitches, etc?

you say that only the laptop is being affected, but do all the other comps have In-CD and the same version of MemTrax installed?

well, I got Memtrax on all computers, only has the glitch on the laptop.

there aren't any other problems, and the weird screens have been there like always. but only with those two programs.

I'll check some settings, I should have the latest drivers for the video card (reïnstalled those last week).
