Havi b3 pro 1 thread 2.0

Tried the Havis with your xDuoo yet? Being a harder drive you shouldn't need to worry much about hiss/noise. Sound nice from my P1, but I also use an attenuator

Oh hell to the yeah, as an amp the TA03 drives it beautifully. the TA03 is designed to drive him impedance loads so it definitely helps with the Havi. Actually I get no hiss or noise, dead quiet. Havi sounds like an open back most times, but even more so with the TA03!

I needed to build an attenuator simply because my P1 has waaay too much power for any of my phones/iems. Typically without it, I couldn't get much past the imbalance point on the volume pot without it being too loud. The one I built gives me ~26db of attenuation and a much wider range of use from the volume knob.

Dear headfiers of this thread, may I kindly know if the HAVI B3 PRO 1 sold by Penon still has channel imbalance issues?

Or have channel imbalances with regards to this iem been completely eradicated?

Thank you

My hardly used (and carefully stored) Havi B3 Pro 1 (of 1 and half years old) have developed four cracks in the cable (3 above Y split and 1 below the Y split). For the time being, have used cellophane tape to patch up the cracks. Both sides are still working but not sure for how long it will last. OTOH, my daily beater phones (i am using at least 6 hours a day 24/7 a week) of past year or so KZ R1 (bought for US$ 2) is still going strong with what looks like a cable that is very similar to Havis (post Y split).

Wish I had the skills (or resources) to recable Havis into the ones like shown in that de'mun pic #Sigh

Oh my... I am running the B3 as my daily IEMs now. Hopefully they would last.

Gotra say they sound really amazing out of my Oppo HA-2 than just outta my Note 4. The soundstage and sound separation are even more enjoyable now. It is so far my favourite IEM.

Thanks to all those great reviews. Please keep sharing all these amazing finds.

Hey guys good news! As you might remember I've had a frustrating time with my B3's. Well I decided to try some different tips with them (Sony hybrid xl) and I think it resolved my problems. Listening to them right now through my dragonfly and WOW. They sound really good.

1. Dragonfly, good choice IMO.
2. Ah yes, Sony hybrid tips. Lauded by many a Head-Fier. Shame they're so damn expensive and only ship from Japan.
3. Good to hear you're enjoying your B3 now.

Thanks! I'm glad I can finally use them now lol. They've been sitting in a drawer for over a year!

Would you believe I came across Sony hybrids in a clearance bin at an airport electronics store?! I think I have 2-3 full sets of them (like all the sizes from xs-xxl) lol!

If anyone has access to a quality version of Infected Mushroom - Saeed, I highly recommend listening to it with the B3. The best soundstage I've heard from it so far. It almost makes me uncomfortable, how "out of head" it sounds.

:D Infected Mushroom is great. The entire Legend of the Black Shawarma album sounds excellent through the B3.

I just got Havi B3 pro1 from a headfier. This is a real great Earphone, but I think it has been insanely hyped. Its sound signature is very similar to IE80 and its sound quality is close to IE80. Its value beats 80 for sure but its soundstage/imaging is no better than IE80. Especially soundstage height, though very good, is obvious falling behind IE80. And I think IE80's sound is more refined.
I'm so sorry many people didn't drive IE80 well and degrade this classical Senn.'s product so much!

When comparing, I use my desktop setup: Jitterbug->Modi->A6->IE80/Havi.
where A6 is

Interestingly, I found B3 cannot pair with Xduoo X3 well. It seems to be too warm on X3. It's pair with X2+NX1 better than X3. I like this Havi and I agree its soundstage is much better than those like LZ A2, even KEF M200. But it's still cannot catch up the soundstage of IE80! But I do agree these three soundstage kings of IEms: IE800, IE80, and Havi No obvious difference of soundstage wide and depth. But 800 and 80 have obvious better soundstage height.

I agree Havi might be the best value earphones in all the price range. This is a conversation with Peter123:
