To get the best treble out of my 595 senns I place them as far back as comfortable on my head.
I also have the headband as low as comfortable. Then listen for the sweetspot, it's a big difference!

Headphone positioning makes a big difference for me.
Especially with the SR-007, with their rotating earpads. Placing the earpads in the "wrong" position resulting in a boomy uncontrolled bass.
