Although I have a great 2gb Iaudio 5, I still have a need for a good CD player. I'd like a High end model with great sound. Been looking at the Aiwa XPSN70 or Sony DNF600.

Why?
1) Wife doesn't want to fool with mp3/ogg conversion techie stuff
2) Books on cd have to be converted, loaded, etc.
3) With a DCDP - just pop in a CD
4) Don't want my wife to like my I5 too much...lol!

What's now considered the Kick Ass DCDP?

Have narrowed it down to the Sony DNE520 or DNE920

1) Best equalizer available
2) Line out option
3) remote
4) MP3 (cd-r/rw)

Some say they sound better - compare the sound if you can before buying - sony is not what it used to be, in sound quality.

The newer Sony models have greatly improved in sound. IMHO the new batch of Sony PCDP and last years models sound better than iRiver's models. Look for threads on DNE300, the low end model, to see what others think.
