Has Ultimate Ears ever made revisions to super.fi 5Pros?

Durability and the cable are the major differences. The 2.0 is thicker and has the memory wire "within the cable" vs a seperate sleeve over the cable.

You lose the leather pouch and the Metal case isnt quite as nice.

An obvious trade off for the more expensive cable etc.
Now a great product!

Agreed, but I did get a leather pouch with my new 5pros. The metallic case has no center spindle and the back side doesn't hold acessories either. Like you said-an obvious trade off. I started using the pouch instead of the metal case b/c the black felt material on the inside was rubbing off on the silicon tips. I was afraid the felt would make it's way into the sound holes. Still- the new cables rock and the housings seem really durable!! No audible SQ differences IMO. Still sound good.

I own the original version (white) and the revised version of the Super.fi 5 Pro's (metallic black). Imo there is a slight difference in SQ being that the newest version of these IEM's sound a little better - to me. It's all subjective and a matter of opinion. Some people love the Super.fi series (myself included) and other dislike them. The version 2.0 cable and newer housing are definitely more durable though.

Can someone post a good close up picture of the 2.0 cable I want to make sure the 5 pro's I have has this upgrade?

I have a clear set and can still see the memory "wire" but it looks like its within the cable not added on with a sheath.

It's pretty easy to tell the difference. If yours looks like the one below, it's v2.0. If it has an extra sheath over the portion containing the memory wire, it's the older version.

In the newer version, the memory wire is indeed contained within the cable. Sounds to me like you have v2.0.

do the tips slip of the nozzle easily as on the Shure E3c's ?

this was the main problem i got with E3's and even got one nozzle broke and lost (hopefully my ears canal and E3 are the same size... gotta clean it everytime but can't live longer like that, buying the trose49's super.fi 5 pro lol)
