Hi All,

I'm a long time user of CIEMs, I have a pair of 1964 ears that I must have been using for about 7-8 years now, without a hitch, apart from burning though a few cables.

The right earpiece is sounding quite dull, compared to the left, which makes me think one of the drivers is out.
So I had a quick look around for a replacement pair, and came across the D2.

Has anyone tried these yet? I like the concept of an IEM with no crossovers. Simple analog crossovers alway cause phase shifts and in my book, a single source that can deliver a full frequency range is better than splitting that range up over multiple drivers. I also like the concept of soft shells, and Sensaphonics claim to have about the best isolation in the business.

I'm a semi-professional (as in it's my job, but I do other things as well) musician and sound engineer. I need great isolation, comfortable fit, and a sound that is pretty 'true'. I don't need super powerful bass or even really 'pretty' sounding IEMs, but I do need good clarity so I can hear details. I don't need an IEM that can go really loud either.

Source is always a Sennheiser wireless IEM system.

Would love to hear your thoughts in the D2, or even other IEMS that might suit me

Thanks,

Harry

I ordered the D2’s as my first pair of IEMs. Sensaphonics came highly recommended from everyone I work with, and they are local to me, so it was a win-win.

I picked them up the other day, and I’m already loving them. I wore them on an 8 hour flight, and they were comfortable for the entire duration.

I can’t compare them to other brands, but for my purposes they’re perfect.

I’ve been using these the last month and a half, and I can’t reccomend them enough. They are very comfortable, have great isolation, and sound great! I’m not sure how to best describe the sound, but they sound very natural.

I have the Shure Bluetooth cable, and it comes in handy when traveling and need something cable-free.
